Most successful people are successful talkers. You cannot do business successfully if you don’t learn how to talk. Everyone claims to know how to talk, but only few learn consciously – How To Talk Well . If you haven’t developed the ability, you can start it today. If you’re successful already, you can make yourself more successful by making yourself a better talker. In every organization, the leader is the talker. If you take the back seat in your organization and let someone else do all the talking for you, then that person will soon become your leader. Even where people speak on your behalf, you write what they say.
The 2 most important activities of a leader are to Think and Talk. Most other tasks can be delegated, thinking and talking cannot. Your job is to THINK – Think through – and then TALK – Communicate your thoughts

At the first Outdoor Session on 21st Feb, 2018, I taught the over 50 attendees present that there is power in communication and the leader’s effectiveness at getting things done is a direct function of the power in his communication. 1. Your Communication Content (CC)* – A combination of what you say, the thought process before you say them and then the content of your own character and attitudes which go a long way to determine the weight your words will carry. If what you say is visible in you, your words will carry weight. People will normally follow you to Mile 1 when they see you’ve already been to Mile 2. If you’re not an example of your expressions, then compliance is uncertain. People don’t actually do what you say, they do what you are.
2. Communication Techniques (CT) – How you talk, your manner of approach, your methods of presentation and your personal appearance, looks gestures and countenance.
Please don’t just think you know this things. It directly affects your business. The words you say and how you say them will determine the calibre of people around you. Nobody wants to stay around a lousy leader. Even if your profession makes you talk all day long, you still need to learn to express yourself more constructively, civilly and productively – to your own people – your staff, your customers.
