VANTAGE is SOF's Annual Educational Innovation Summit. It's our biggest programme and it's the first of its kind, the only education Innovation conference, in recent times.

Smart Teachers Academy (SMATAC) is SOF's teachers equipping institution set up to raise a new breed of smart teachers equipped with six 21st century core competencies – digital smartness, leadership, innovation, attitude and ethics, communication and apprenticeship. These are required to enhance Nigeria’s education sector for equipping today's children for the jobs of the future. SMATAC is laden with the passionate drive to solve the next generation's problem in our education sector. We believe that teaching should be a calling and a passion before it becomes a career.

SMATAC aims to recruit a new breed of teachers into the education sector because we’ve defined a good teacher not as one who is only academically qualified but one who has (and really everyone should) over time developed the patience and resolve to see children successful through whatever level or stage they find the children, by imparting them sufficiently enough to get them flying at that stage, presenting them confidently to the next stage - even in spite of the uncertainties surrounding their vocation as a teacher. SOF Admin boot camp is a two-day business retreat for school Admins, HOS, HOD. School Owners acting in these positions are also included . As every term begins, the school environment is stuffed with activities right from the beginning of the term till it's end. The atmosphere is fast and fluid. Too often, as school owners, we focus staff developmental programmes on teachers and academic staff generally. Hardly will you hear a school send its non academic staff for trainings. Every now and then, I come across several school owners who for one reason or the other just want to do something entirely different with their lives other than just run the school.
